Another poem by one of our own

Our poet-in-residence, Alessandra, has created

yet another amazing poem that warrants sharing.  Wow!

The Doe

By, Alessandra Marrè

The doe softly pad out into the moonlight

Shy, her hooves barely kiss the ground,

The leaves brush against her face.

She stops, then slowly on wobbly legs continues her journey.

Around her the trees glimmer

and shake, dancing, laughing, teasing

But she doesn’t listen, she is stong.

She keeps advancing, ignoring all

The taunts and cruel words,

She takes a step, and is grateful.
